Review
ForsakenSTORY / GAMEPLAY
A huge explosion has turned Earth almost like a deserted place. The few survivors were brave enough to search for Earth's last remaining gold but they had to fight the aliens wandering around with their ships and tanks. You are one of those survivors who must find the gold and kill everything that blocks your way. The Aliens have great powers so you must always gather power ups, energy and ammunition. Gameplay is a bit tricky at the beginning while you'll have to manage and fly your hover-style ship, around the levels. You can move in all directions available and it looks as you are diving and swimming inside an ocean. This game reminds me of the great PC game Descent, in most perspectives.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The PSX version, though it does not have the polygon smoothing technique of the N64 and the PC, features great graphics with flawless animation, vivid colors and greatly designed enemies and environments. As in all versions, the explosion and lighting effects are remarkable for its time! The sound plays in Dolby, with music scores and sound effects that really add a lot to the atmosphere. Overall, Forsaken is a very good game for the Playstation library.
